Performance of Top Tabletop Board Games Apps in Latin America - Q4 2020

In the fourth quarter of 2020, the tabletop board games category saw interesting shifts in user engagement across Latin America. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a closer look at the trends for the top five applications in this genre.

Parchisi STAR Online by Gameberry Labs experienced a slight decrease in downloads from 240K in early October to 193K by the end of December. Weekly active users also saw a slight downtrend, dropping from 3.5M to 3.4M in the same period. Revenue remained fairly steady, hovering around the 50K mark each week.

Chess, developed by Chess Prince, had a stable increase in downloads, rising from 133K at the end of September to 184K by the end of December. Active users peaked at 1.48M in late November and ended the quarter with a stable 1.42M. Revenue, while minimal, showed an upward trend from 8 USD to 23 USD by the quarter's end.

Moonfrog's Ludo Club - Dice & Board Game saw its downloads decrease from 222K to 181K over the quarter. Active users followed a similar pattern, diminishing from 1.31M to 1.08M. The app's revenue saw a slight drop in early November but recovered to around 18K by December.

Dominoes by Loop Games, despite not generating revenue, enjoyed a significant rise in downloads from 165K to 194K. Weekly active users also saw a robust increase from 1.96M to 1.91M.

Finally, Checkers Online from CC Games had fluctuating download numbers, starting at 137K and peaking at 183K. The number of active users showed a positive trend, starting at 471K and climbing to 559K by the year's end. The revenue for this app remained very low, with a slight peak of 21 USD in late December.
